Use these prompts to write your ARTIST STATEMENT.
Explain the event or events that you have illustrated in your movie poster. Tell me what happened, who was involved, and where it took place. Give specific examples of items in your composition to help you explain.
Describe, in detail, why this event is meaningful to you.
Give justification (reason why) for your design choices and use appropriate art vocabulary. (Foreground, background, middle ground, focal point, composition, typography and contrast.) In other words, how did you portray the event, and why did you decide to do it that way?
What colored pencil techniques did you use and technically how did you improve? What are you most proud of? What was challenging and what did you do to overcome this?
